100 Years of Leica Photography
100 Years of Leica Photography Logo. This year (2014) Leica photography celebrates 100 years. In Mars 1914 Oskar Barnack
finished what came to be the first Leica camera, in his diary he called the camera “Liliput” but the camera is today more commonly known as the Ur-Leica.
The inventor and visionary Oskar Barnack worked as an engineer at Ernst Leitz and was also
an enthusiastic cinematographer. The cameras available at the time were big and heavy which limited his creativity, the frustration ignited a spark for innovation and finally the birth
of 35mm film photography.
I designed the logo and came up with the graphic concept. Leica marketing department implemented the logo into the anniversary communication and took care of all publishing.

LEICA X3
Every day people around the world take millions of pictures. The modern culture of sharing photos with your friends and loved ones has never been bigger. This project is about filling the gap between big cameras with great image quality and smartphone cameras with limited quality/control.
This project is a personal project for self promotion only. Leica AG has not been included in the process in any way. I take no responsibility for reposts.
